Baudana – Baudana is located on the west slope of Serralunga and belongs to a fine cluster of vineyards among Lazzarito, Parafada, Rionda, Falletto and Francia. The soil is a composition of Marne di Sant’Agata mixed with Formazioni di Lequio. It’s white on the surface and distinctively blue underneath.
From the 1990 Atlante delle Vigne di Langa by Slow Food: “(…) the Baudana vineyard contributed to create Barolos of excellent signatures since the 1930s: this upholds the consolidated opinion of quality expressed by the locals”.
Cerretta – Cerretta lays opposite from Baudana on the east slope of Serralunga. The soil belongs entirely to Formazioni di Lequio: a thin layer of white marl covers a deep subsoil of red clay.
